Have you ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right? Well, I had one of those days recently.
First, my alarm didn’t go off. No big deal, I slept in by only ten minutes. I got up, got ready as quickly as possible, and went to work. Halfway there, I realized I had forgotten my phone, which I needed for work. So, I turned the car around, grabbed my phone, texted my boss that I would be late, and headed back. I arrived at work twenty minutes late. The rest of the day went by without a hitch.
That is until I got home.
Utterly exhausted, I hopped in the shower. I wet my hair, put a glob of shampoo in my hand, and scrubbed at my scalp. But it wasn’t foaming like it usually did. What the heck? So, I put some more onto my palm and worked it into my scalp. Still no bubbles.
I thought to myself, “Wow is my hair really that dirty that the shampoo isn’t working properly?”
So, my solution: try again. And again, nothing.
I reached over and plucked the bottle from the shelf. It was conditioner. I grabbed the other bottle. Conditioner. The next one? Also, conditioner.
How does that even happen?
As I scrubbed at my scalp, trying to get rid of the remnants of the product out of my hair, I began to think about how this would be a great thing to work into one of my books. So, when I hopped out of the shower, I began to write. Where will it go? I have no idea. But it’s sitting there, in my arsenal of scenes, waiting for the right moment to be used.
And so, a bad day turned into an okay day. Or at the very least, a funny story. For anyone who is curious, your hair does get clean with only conditioner and feels super soft, but it does not stay clean for nearly as long. I had to shower again the next day after I bought some new shampoo.
