This year I rediscovered my love for thrift stores and found a ton of nostalgic books that I had gotten rid of in the past when I didn’t have enough space for books anymore. That all changed when I bought a house, and my husband built me a little library in our home a year ago. Now, I’ve allowed myself to repurchase books I loved in the past and hope to read again.
Honestly, when putting this list together, I thought it would be longer. Then I remembered—I’ve been on a book-buying ban for the past six months (and for good reason, haha).
But for those of you who may be interested, here is a complete list of the books I bought in 2024:

One of my favorite finds was Divergent by Veronica Roth. I remember devouring this series in just a few days when it first came out. Seeing it on the thrift store shelf felt like running into an old friend. I can’t wait to see if it holds up on a reread!
With the Sunrise on the Reaping annoucement I just had to grab The Hunger Games when I saw this absolute masterpiece of a series on the shelves!
And although I have never been a Twilight girlie (honestly, I really didn’t like the movies), my husband loved the books, so I thought I might actually give this series a shot…. don’t come for me.
Thrift shopping for books has made my reading journey even more meaningful this year. There’s something special about giving pre-loved books a new home in my library. What about you? Have you found any great thrifted treasures recently? Or are there any old favorites you’ve been meaning to revisit? Leave a comment below!
